Convenience makes you weaker! The brain likes to take the path of least resistance and conserve energy. It’s hardwired to cheat. That’s a good thing when you want to conserve energy. Problem is, losing weight and gaining muscle comes from the exact opposite…Energy expenditure!
You gotta be mindful and take the stairs next time. Conscious effort must override subconscious laziness. So don’t beat yourself up when you find yourself wanting to take the easy way out, that’s simply hardwired human nature. But now that you know it, YOU can control it. Be the tigers on the stairs, not the herd of sheep on the escalator.
