Each week, we are all given a fund of hours … 168, to be exact.
And how we spend these hours is entirely up to us. It just depends on how we choose to spend our fund of hours.
But to say that we don’t have time? Well, that’s nonsense. We do have time—we have 168 hours.
A while back, I read an article that suggested we replace the phrase, “I don’t have time” with “It’s not a priority.”
Instead of saying, “I don’t exercise because I don’t have time,” try saying, “I don’t exercise because it’s not a priority.”
So “I eat fast food because I don’t have time to cook healthy meals” becomes “I eat fast food because cooking healthy meals isn’t a priority.”
Sounds ridiculous, doesn’t it?
Make that small change and you’ll find yourself making a priority of things that really matter.
