Just a reminder that we will be closed on Thursday 4/25. We will return to regular classes on Friday.
On May 6th we will be having a Rowing clinic during the evening classes, 5:15, 6:15, 7:15 and 8:15. Come and learn how much more efficient you can be on the Rowing machine.
Last but not least, I’m very happy by how everyone is been pushing themselves through the tough WODs in the past couple of weeks. Keep up the great work!
Two of our most loyal members are leaving across the world to a new job and they wrote some very kind words that I want to share with everyone. We will miss them dearly and we wish them the best on their new journey.
Hello Fellow BCF’ers;
As some of you already know, my family and I are relocating to Geneva, Switzerland. Row and the boys will be around until the end of the school year. I will be leaving earlier, April 28, to start my new job and, hopefully, set up a home for us. I don’t post here much but I’m writing this now because I realize that I may not be able to say goodbye to all of my friends.
I started with Cesar back in 2009 when he only had a handful of classes. I have seen it grow from that small room and those few classes to our spacious gym today. It never fails to amaze me when I come to a class with 12 people to remember working out with only one other member and sometimes by myself. I am thrilled with how far Bravo Crossfit has come.
All along Cesar and Olga have been incredibly generous and open. There are many good coaches who can help individuals improve at their game. Somehow Cesar is able to give the same kind of attention not just to the firebreathers amongst us, but to athletes of much more modest abilities such as myself. In my experience this is an uncommon trait, one I hope all BCF members can appreciate. And what can I say about Olga? She is everybody’s favorite sister, and really kept me going through the Open wods, she is truly an inspiration. Thanks to both of you.
As for the members, I can say something special about many if not most of you, but I would run the risk if missing one or two and i just can’t have that. Let me just say that I think this is a very special community and that I hope that the friendships I have made in the past few years will last well past the time I leave New York. I sincerely hope that our paths cross again. I would like to give a special thanks to the 6am class. We’re all a little weird to be up at that time, much less training. Thanks for pushing me.
It took moving halfway across the world to get me to leave Bravo Crossfit. I wish you all the best in your CrossFit journey and through life.
My Warmest Regards,
Marco and Rowena
